Mid-Atlantic Tornado Averages

Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia 

Much of the Mid-Atlantic states have a consistent eight month tornado season with low to moderate frequency of tornado occurrences. However; some strong tornados have taken place in April. Enhancement from tropical systems is also an important part of the tornado season of the Mid-Atlantic, mostly south of Pennsylvania. In Virginia, the peak comes in September.
