Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas
Areas of the Southern to Central Plains are part of Tornado Alley, so it is fairly obvious these states are quite active. The dominant states in this region all see tornado averages that peak in May. We would like to point out that Texas has tornado averages in every month of the year! Both the western (and partly mountainous) states of New Mexico and Colorado see their tornado averages peak in June. New Mexico ranks relatively low on the scale mostly because it is located in a dry region.
